今年も行ってきましたMalaysia。
今回で2度目の渡航となりますMalaysiaは、自分にとってSuper Excitingで、ちょう嬉しい出会いや出来事も、たくさんあった2日間でした。
AOS2019,
It was an honor to be able to attend Art of Speed Malaysia for my second year. Its an amazing event, and they were super awesome days. It is really an event that I enjoy. It is super exciting and for me its a very happy 2 days full of great people and experiences.

There are so many great cars, suoerb motorcycles, and so many good, kind, interesting people. I shot so many great photos, its hard to post them all. I have posted up a few random photos with captions,

写真が多すぎてですね、Art of Speed、2回に分けてのStyleで、今回はDigest的な写真を1回Upさせていただきまして、
I have so many to show you that I will have to make 2 posts. First post I will try to make a digest, second post more of a photo album with more detailed photos. I will try to post up other photos by using some other photo albums and some SNS tools.

戦隊モノみたいなColoringのAmbulans Carsに感動しながら、1年ぶりのKL Air Portに、明け方到着。
Staffの方に空港まで迎えに来ていただき、そのままShow会場のMAEPSへ向かいます。
1hourほどで会場に到着。

2daysでの来場者は5万5000人だったかな?
とにかく2daysとも、ハンパねー来場者数でした！
また、会場の外ではMiniの60th Anniversary Eventも行われておりまして、こちらも盛り上がっておりました。
ERA Turbo?にしては、ちょっと丸っこいような？
すいません、Miniには疎いっす。
そうそう、Miniといえば、MiniのShellにSuzuki HayabusaのEngineを搭載したMonster Machine、”MIZUKI”の写真は以前BlogにUpしましたので、よろしかったら。。。

なんだかすげーBikeでした！
コチラの車輌も、なんだかハンパなかったです。
Malaysia’s Motorcycle Scene、HondaのSuper Cubがかなり人気のようでして、様々なStyleにKustomizedされたCubがたくさんEntryしていたのが印象的でした。
ほぼほぼ原型ないですが、コレもChopper Cub!!かな???

屋外のStageではSound CircusというMusic Festivalも行われておりまして、夜通しサイコーに盛り上がったようです。
外の会場の熱気もハンパなかった。
Main Hall隣のHall Cでは様々な催しが行われておりまして、
Vintage Denimや古着屋さんのBoothですとか、
Skate BoardのKids向けRampや
Model CarsのCompetion、
Hallの奥にはNissan、Honda、Mitsubishi、SUBARU、BMWなどの往年のIconicなModelsが展示されておりました。
ボキャブラリー少なすぎて申し訳ないのですが、これも超カッコよかった！

Showの会場では、Kustomstyle Sakon-sanのBoothに、休憩所てきな感じで今年もお世話になりまして、
Kustomstyle Booth、T-Shirtsの売れ行きもガンガンでして、Sakon-sanが着ているShirtsまで欲しいというCustomerが現れるほどの売れっぷりでして、
Yuya the Fxxkin DesignのT-Shirtsも現地で人気で何よりでした。
地元の皆さんが遠く離れた異国で活躍しまくっているって、なんかカッコいいなー、すごい嬉しいなーって、つよく感じました。
で。。。
例のMonster MINI “MIZUKI”のOwnerになれる権利を巡っての、超辛そうなヤツの早食い競争がStageで行われまして、
ちょうデカイ、やばい辛そうな赤いヤツとか、あと匂いとか、すげーSpicyで、やばそうな感じでした。。。
Congrats!!!!!
MIZUKI、AOS2021 10th Anniversaryに外装とかもばっちし仕上げてEntryとかしてきたらちょうTensionあがるなー、なんて、勝手におもってしまいました。

なんともゼータクな体験をさせていただきました！！

今回2度目の渡航ということもあり、KaliforniaLookのことや私のこと、My VWのことを知ってくれている方がすごくたくさん居たことは、ちょうびっくりしたのと同時に、ちょう嬉しかったです。
As this was my second time to the show, I was so happy to hear that people knew about me, my VW BeerGold, my blog KaliforniaLook, and all the things that I do i in Japan. I was happy and surprised that so many people knew about me.
特にAir Cooled VWsに乗っている人たちが、My VWのDetailを細かなところまで知っていてくれているっていうのは、なんというかVW乗っててよかったな、って強烈に実感しました。
I was super happy to hear that many owners in the air-cooled VW community knew things about my car. even down to some of the fine details. It made me feel happy to be a VW driver andf part of the community.
My VWのCenterline Wheelがカッコいいとか、Bodyの艶がハンパねーな！なんて声かけてくれる人に加えて、私の不摂生による最近の体調不良を気にしてくれる方も、結構な数いたりして、遠く離れている場所でも、自分の拙いBlogやSNSを見てくれている方が、こんなにもたくさんいるんだなっていうのは、うまく言えないんですが、なんかすごく嬉しかったです。
Perhaps one day I’ll be able to bring my VW to the show and display with the malaysian VWs together!! VeeDub Connection is awesome and I’m proud to ride air-cooled VW with all you guys. Maybe new ride-in is my turn? lol.
と、同時に、すげーたくさんの人が見てくれているBlog、あんましアホなこととか、へんな写真とか載せられないなー、気をつけなきゃな、ってちょっと思ったりもしました。
こーゆうのとかね。
It amazes me the kindeness of people. Even we all live so far apart, people were asking me about my car, the wheels and this and that, they were asking me about my health and wishing mr good thoughts, all through the power of our blogs and SNS activities. I realised that i have to take care what I am posting onmy blog .) Cant be too silly or rude about eht I put up.

あと、以前から憧れていたSpeedhuntersのPhotographer、Matthewと会うことができて、サシで食事をしたり、いろんなハナシができたことも、自分にとっては超うれしかったことの1つです。
This trip I was able to meet a guy I respected named Matthew. Matthew is a photographer for Speedhunters. We were able to hang out, eat, and talk about all sorts of stuff. that was cool. thanks for that Matthew.

Massiveに発信しまくっている、Super AceなMediaたちと並んでの、KalifornialookのShowへのInvite。
KaliforniaLookとしてできること、KaliforniaLookしか出来ないことはなんだろう？と、いろいろ考えまして。
In amongst all the great automobile car culture bloggers in the world, there is Kalifornialook. All these tough, super-ace media outlets, and there is me. I thought to myself, what is one thing I can do that theese other guys couldnt do? As soon as I think of myself as an ‘amateur’, then that is all I am able to do. I have to think of myself as much MORE that. SO, I decided to be the best amateur that I possibly good be.
シロウトだからって、臆してしまっては、それこそシロウト以下のPerformanceしか発揮することが出来ないと思うので、こういう時は、自分はシロウトだと臆することなく、出せることすべてを出し切ろう、自分がやれることは何か？っていうのを工夫して、いろいろやってみようということで、
今回の渡航に備えて、事前にMac Bookを月賦で買いまして、
現地で撮った写真を会場で、その場でBlogにUpしようと試みたのですが、
My Blog、海外でのMobile wifiではsecurityの都合でServerにUpできないということが、Event会場で判明しまして、
せっかくMac買って、写真も撮って、動画も撮ったのに、Real timeでそれをUpload出来なかったのは、本当に、すごく悔しかったです。
ちなみに、かろうじて動画はyoutubeで会場からUploadすることが出来ました。
For this trip, bought a Mac computer, one that I that i am even still paying for. I decided to post photos and my blog for the day right from the event. Unfortunately, problems with mobile wifi, data loads, security with my server, and this and that, meant that I wasnt able to upload in realtime. Bummed 🙁 Here I was with this new Mac, super ready to do it all, on the spot, but totally dead in the water. In my defence, I was able to get some videos up on to YouTube from the event. In the end,

My Blog、滞在先のHotelでのInternet環境では、問題なくDataをUploadできることが判明したので、毎夜Yokohama Crewや、Guestの皆さんと呑んだくれまして、ちょう夜中に酔っ払ってHotelへ帰ってきた後に、こそこそ明け方まで、毎晩Blogに写真をUpしてまして、
挙句、朝は早朝に起きようとAlarmかけてみるも、まったく起きることが出来ずに、相部屋でStayさせていただきましたModel CarsのUkai-sanに起こしてもらっちゃったりで、
多分、Ukai-san、俺のこと完璧にイかれてる、キ○ガイだと思っていらっしゃるとおもいます。
加えて、今回Scheduleの都合で、Ukai-sanより1日早く帰国させていただいたのですが、Mobileの充電器を滞在先に忘れてしまうという失態までありまして、後日充電器を送ってもらうというご迷惑までおかけしてしまいまして、、、。
Ukai-sanには、何からなにまで本当にメーワクかけまくりでして、この場をお借りしてお詫びさせていただきたいとおもいます。
I WAS able to upload from my hotel, with its thicker and faster connection. Each night, after quite a few drunken beers with the Yokohama crew, other guests and friends from the day, I was often awake until the early hours blogging and posting photos. Yes I set my alarm to get up each morning, but alas, it was still a huge help to be woken up by Ukai-san from Model Cars magazine. Thank you so much !!! And sadly due to my schedule, I had to come home to Jaopan a little earlier than some of the people I was with. I left my phone charger in malaysia. Again. Ukai-san saved me by finding it, and sending it to me when he got back to Japan. The man is an angel, and I am sure he thinks i am totallly crazy. Thank you Mr. Ukai for saving me over and over again!!
ということで、AOS2019、今回も自分にとってサイコーにAwesomeで、ハンパない体験となりました！
To wrap up, AOS2019 was again an awesome experience for me.
招待してくれたAsep san& Deni san、滞在中いろいろAttendしてくれたHanis sanを始め、会場のすべてのStaffの皆さま、カッコいいShow Cars & MotorcyclesでEntryしてくれたBuilders、Ownersの皆さま、
Thank you deeply to Asep-san and Deni-san for inviting me again. Thank you to Hanis-san for all he helped me with, and greatest thanks to all the staff at the event who worked tirelessly to make it all happen. thank you too to all the owners of the entried vehicles, motorbikes, the builders, the vendors, everyone.
